You're right, she isn't, but I doubt it is something we will be doing soon after she arrives. We'll do it when the time feels right, when we think we're ready. When I think I'm ready. As far as I know, most people usually start doing it two or three months in to the relationships, but we'll see how it goes.

see, that's what I'm saying. "most people start doing it two or three months in to the relationship" so if you are ready before that - its not like you haven't been getting to know her all this time, and until she arrives - because its not socially acceptable, you will keep waiting? I've known my boyfriend and been good friends with him for almost a year. does our counter restart now that were dating?

Like I said, ultimately it's up to each person whether they think they're ready. If we think we're ready before that, then yes, we would do it. I'm not trying to tell you what's right or wrong - as I said in my first comment, in the end it's up to you to decide if you're ready. If you think you are, then go for it.
